Venhill Steps in for Honda CR Riders

Venhill has introduced a new range of Exhaust Valve Cables for the Honda CR125R and CR250R; a niche but significant addition that will be welcome news for owners of the much-loved two-stroke motocrossers.

OEM cables for the CR125R have been discontinued by Honda for some time, and the NOS options that once filled the gap have now all but disappeared. For the CR250R, factory parts remain available for now, but with supply dwindling, the window is closing.

Venhill's cables offer owners a dependable, UK-made alternative, available now for quick delivery.

The OE cables incorporate a number of unique metal and rubber components not found elsewhere in the Venhill catalogue. Venhill's team developed these bespoke parts specifically for this project, ensuring theirs are exact matches to the OE specification; not approximations. Like all Venhill cables, they’re made to the proven Featherlight specification, with marine-grade stainless steel inner wire, to minimise stretch, and a PTFE (‘teflon’) liner that reduces internal friction and lessens the need for regular lubrication.

Each cable is also Bird-caged: a specialist process in which solder penetrates the weave of the inner wire at the nipple, forming a significantly stronger bond. This reduces the risk of breakage under repeated stress.
