Race-Ready Battery Charger from OptiMate
Modern vehicles are packed with electronics and fitted with high-performance batteries to compensate. Race weekends are especially hard on batteries, and the gap between coming off track and going back out is often measured in minutes. A partially charged battery is a race-day problem waiting to happen.
The OptiMate G10 is built for exactly that window. Its FASTcharge programme automatically charges a partially discharged battery at maximum power to get you back on track quickly. A flashing green test light confirms the battery is more than 90% charged and ready to race.
It also provides battery support while the engine is running, making the G10 equally useful during warm-up, set-up work and time on the dyno. A separate PowerSupply mode delivers steady power for tuning and diagnostic sessions.
Battery coverage is deliberately broad. The G10 handles 12V and 16V AGM lead-acid batteries from 3-240Ah, plus 12.8V/13.2V and 16V LFP lithium batteries from 2-120Ah, across eight selectable operation steps.
Pre-selecting the DIAGNOSTIC programme enables controlled Ampmatic charging for smaller batteries—under 25Ah for AGM and under 9Ah for LFP—by automatically regulating the charge current to match the battery size.
For lithium batteries that have shut down, due to deep discharge, a pushbutton BMS reset wakes the battery so charging can begin.
Connection is via an SB-50 adapter (grey and red) or battery clips, each protected by its own 25A fuse. The charger is supplied ready to work straight out of the crate, with an AC power cable, the O-75 SB-50 fused cable, O-34 fused battery clips, an O-43 output cable extender, a wall storage receiver and a handlebar hanging hook for use in the garage or awning.
For teams and privateers who race abroad, the global 100-240V 50-60Hz input removes the usual worry about paddock power. The G10 is certified for CE, UKCA, NRTL (UL and CSA), PSE (Japan) and SAA (Australia and New Zealand) markets, so it can be packed for any round on the calendar.
